Within this study, two standards have been used: the Mohr–Coulomb (M–C) criterion as well as multi-weak-plane power criterion for shale formations. These are used to conduct investigation and obtain the optimization in the failure criteria for shale–sandstone interbedded reservoirs.As illustrated in Figure nine, when the rock’s elastic mech
